[ncl-talk] Error in ncl_filedump and addfile

*Not Cygwin *but the following works on my MAC [Darwin] using *NCL 6.3.0
and 6.5.0*

%>  *ncl_filedump*
2A.GPM.DPR.V7-20170308.20170704-S001905-E015140.019017.V05A.HDF5 *>*
out.2A.GPM.DPR.V7

works fine. See attached.

Not sure what might be happening under your Cygwin installation.
As noted ... what version of NCL are you using?

%> ncl -V
