ncl-talk -- NCAR Command Language User Group

About ncl-talk
English (USA)

This email list is for NCL users to exchange information, ask questions, and report bugs on NCL or other related software if appropriate. It is also for the developers to share announcements about new releases, features, bug fixes, and other pertinent information.

Please read this open letter to NCL users regarding the future of NCL.

Before posting any questions, read these posting guidelines.

If you have a question about building or installing NCL or NCAR Graphics, porting the software to new systems, or setting up your environment to run the software, then please post to ncl-install@ucar.edu.

If you have a problem running an NCL script or opening a data file, please provide a link to the NCL script and/or data file(s) in your initial email. You can also attach the files to the email message if they are under about 1.5 megabytes.

If sending an NCL script, please try to clean it up as much as possible so we can run it as is.

If you don't have a place to put the file(s), then you can use our ftp account. Use this only as a last resort:

ftp ftp.cgd.ucar.edu
anonymous
[Use your email address as the password]
cd incoming
put [name of first file]
put [name of second file]
. . .
quit

We will need to know the exact name of the files in order to download them.
