[ncl-talk] NCL script running slow for ploting Timeseries

Hi,

I see you are calling asciiread inside of a loop. Unfortunately, NCL is
notoriously inefficient when it comes to doing large amounts of string
processing, and there's not much that can be done about. I don't know if
its feasible to convert your files to NetCDF?

I wish I had a better answer...
