[ncl-talk] embed plot within a plot

Hey Adam,
I did something similar a few weeks ago. I’m attaching 2 different examples so that you can have a look. In the first one I’m plotting a boat track over the western Mediterranean together with the pressure and temperature (xy plot in the upper left corner) recorded by the boat weather station. In the second one I’m plotting domain averaged cloud properties together with a xy plot of rain intensity. 
 Basically you should use the annotation procedure, as already suggested.
