[ncl-talk] ERROR OPENING PWRITX DATA FILE /usr/share/ncarg/database/PlotcharData

Dear ncl support team

I have installed ncl with the command: aptitude install ncl.

Next, I am trying to use ncl but it seems installation is not complete.

In the terminal I type: ncl 
/home/hesselm/repos/software/wrf/ncl/trunk/plotgrids.ncl
The following error message is displayed in the terminal:

I have checked content of the directory /usr/share/ncarg/database/ and 
PlotcharData is not there.

Operating system is: ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

Please advise me how to proceed.
