Hi Mamadou,
Thanks. I tried according to your instruction and getting same problem. Earlier I extracted a couple of files using cdo selyear,1980/2000 command and it worked properly. But do not know what happened now. Pls guide me if possible.

Permission denied: I think you don't have right administrator
otherwise the netcdf version of your data is not built with your cdo

Hi All,
I try to extract 2080-2100 precipitation using CDO(cdo selyear,2080/2100 pr_day_CNRM-CM5_rcp85_r1i1p1_20060101-21001231.nc pr_day_CNRM-CM5_rcp85_r1i1p1_20800101-21001231.nc) in the linux environment and getting following error message
###########Error (cdf_create) : pr_day_CNRM-CM5_rcp85_r1i1p1_20800101-21001231.nc: Permission denied
HDF5-DIAG: Error detected in HDF5 (1.8.13) thread 0:
  #000: H5T.c line 1766 in H5Tclose(): not a datatype
    major: Invalid arguments to routine
    minor: Inappropriate type

Error (cdf_close) : NetCDF: HDF error###############
