[ncl-talk] Error NCL6.2.1 in Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks Retina

Hard to say:

1. Are you trying to run on your Mac remotely?

2. What version of XQuartz are you using?  There's a relatively recent
update, 2.7.7, from 8/18/2014 available.

3. What is your DISPLAY environment variable set to (if anything)?

    env | grep -i disp
