The Geosciences Department at Hamilton College invites applications for a
1-year non-renewable visiting position at the rank of Assistant Professor,
beginning July 1, 2026, in the area of hydrogeology and/or surface
processes. Teaching responsibilities will include a topical introductory
geology course and a core course in hydrogeology, both with labs and
opportunities for field trips, plus an elective course. Examples of
elective courses could include aqueous geochemistry, geomorphology, soils,
glaciology, GIS, or numerical modeling.

are preferred. The teaching load for this position is five courses. The
expected 9-month base salary range for this position is $77,900 to $80,400.
