[ES_JOBS_NET] Open Phd Position in climate statistics at TU Dortmund

Dear all,

The newly established Environmetrics research group at the TU Dortmund 
(Germany) offers a PhD position (3 years, TV-L E13 75%, upgrade to 100% 
possible subject to availability of funds) within the Research Center 
Trustworthy Data Science and Security and the Department of Statistics. 
The position is to be filled as early as possible. The candidate will 
develop new statistical methods to infer spatio-temporal climate 
variability patterns from sparse observations, and integrate 
observational constraints on climate variability into future Earth 
system projections using statistical postprocessing methods.

If you have a strong background in probability theory or statistics, are 
highly motivated to apply these skills to open questions in climate 
sciences, and strive to work on societally important questions about 
future environmental change, I'm looking forward to your application.
