Dr. Vera Samburova (https://www.dri.edu/directory/vera-samburova/) at the Desert Research Institute (DRI) is seeking a prospective PhD student with a strong chemistry background to work on NSF-funded projects focused on characterizing organic compounds in post-fire soils and ashes.
The start date is flexible. The selected student may begin research activities at DRI and receive funding as soon as admission is confirmed by Atmospheric Sciences Graduate Program (https://www.unr.edu/atmospheric-sciences/graduate-programs) at the University of Nevada, Reno.
