Dear all,
Two fully funded PhD positions in atmospheric chemistry and public health at Wayne State University are available to start in Fall 2025. One of the potential candidates aims to better understand the chemistry of atmospheric compositions, involving field measurements and multi-scale model simulations. The other candidate will focus on the quantifications of human health impacts of air pollution. Applicants with background in atmospheric chemistry, environmental engineering/science, public health, atmospheric science, chemistry, or other related fields are welcome to apply. Previous programming skills using Fortran, python, and/or IDL are preferred but not required. The PhD candidates will work directly with Dr. Yaoxian Huang (https://www.huanglabwayne.com). For interested applicants, please send a copy of your CV and contact information for two references to Dr. Huang (yaoxian.huang at wayne.edu<mailto:yaoxian.huang at wayne.edu>), with subject line of “PhD applicant – Atmospheric Chemistry” or “PhD applicant – Public Health”. The successful candidates will receive a competitive offer package including tuition waiver, monthly stipends and insurance benefits. Reviews of applications will start immediately and continue on a rolling basis, until both positions are filled.
Please help spread the words. Thank you!
Best,
Yaoxian
