potential candidates aims to better understand the chemistry of atmospheric compositions, involving field measurements and multi-scale model simulations. The other candidate will focus on the quantifications of human health impacts of air pollution. Applicants
with background in atmospheric chemistry, environmental engineering/science, public health, atmospheric science, chemistry, or other related fields are welcome to apply. Previous programming skills using Fortran, python, and/or IDL are preferred but not required.
The PhD candidates will work directly with Dr. Yaoxian Huang (<a href="https://www.huanglabwayne.com">https://www.huanglabwayne.com</a>). For interested applicants, please send a copy of your CV and contact information for two references to Dr. Huang (<a href="mailto:yaoxian.huang@wayne.edu">yaoxian.huang@wayne.edu</a>),
with subject line of “PhD applicant – Atmospheric Chemistry” or “PhD applicant – Public Health”. The successful candidates will receive a competitive offer package including tuition waiver, monthly stipends and insurance benefits. Reviews of applications will
start immediately and continue on a rolling basis, until both positions are filled.
