Dear Colleagues,
Northwestern’s Department of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences is pleased to announce that nominations for the $300k Nemmers Prize in Earth Sciences are now being accepted (open til 14 Jan 2026). The Nemmers Prize in Earth Sciences is awarded to an individual for achievement and works of lasting significance in the field of Earth sciences. We are seeking nominees from all Earth Science spheres. Recipients of the Nemmers Prize in Earth Sciences present lectures, participate in department seminars, and engage with Northwestern faculty and students in other scholarly activities.
Nominating letters are restricted to 1000 words or less, so the nomination burden is quite low. More info on the nomination process can be found here: https://www.nemmers.northwestern.edu/earth-sciences/
Please send us your best, and please let us know if you have any questions.
Best, Daniel
