Postdoctoral Fellowship Opportunity

Faculty in Stanford Medicine and Stanford Earth are accepting applications for a 2-year postdoc to examine child health impacts of floods in India. The postdoctoral scholar will be co-mentored by Eran Bendavid (School of Medicine) and Steve Gorelick (Doerr School of Sustainability), and will work alongside a team with expertise in flood modeling and collaborators in IIT Bombay. We encourage recent graduates with a PhD or equivalent degree from an epidemiology, biostatistics, data science, computer science, or related programs with an interest in health impacts of environmental changes to apply. The scholar will join a vibrant and growing human and planetary health community at Stanford. The successful candidate will have strong data skills, including experience handling complex data structures, working with spatial data,  and causal approaches. The goal of this position is to provide advanced research training, and strong academic writing and presentation skills are encouraged. We aim to start in the fall. The expected base pay range for this position exceeds Stanford guidelines. The balance of in-person and remote work can be negotiated up front.
