POSITION: Tenure-Track Assistant / Associate Professor Position in Structural Geology

Responsibilities:
This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Structural Geology / Tectonics. We seek a colleague who will
complement our existing strengths. The successful applicant will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Structural
Geology / Tectonics as well as courses in their own geological science specialty. These courses are part of the curriculum
of the following degrees: PhD in Earth and Energy Sciences, MSc in Geology, and BSc in Geology. The applicant must be
capable of building a strong, externally funded research program. The position involves mentoring students at the
undergraduate and graduate levels and engagement in School, College and University service. The applicant must also
demonstrate institutional citizenship through active engagement at the school, college, university, community, and
professional levels. Scientists from underrepresented groups in STEM fields are particularly encouraged to apply as the

UNIVERSITY AND COMMUNITY: The School of Geosciences combines the programs of Geology and
Environmental Sciences and includes 15 full-time faculty, three staff, and approximately 125 students. Further information

QUALIFICATIONS: The successful applicant must have a PhD or equivalent degree in Geology, Geosciences, or a
closely related field by the time of appointment; post-doctoral research experience is preferred. Successful candidates
must be committed to working effectively with diverse student populations and in interdisciplinary teams. Applicants are
