Hello all,

I am very excited to announce an opening for a hard money (state funded, "permanent") Environmental Sensor Manager to work with our group at the Baruch Institute on our growing cluster of flux towers in coastal South Carolina. You will join two other grant funded tower technicians to create a super team of tower climbers and eddy covariance gurus while we build several new towers! The position closes on 9/29 but will remain open until filled.

More information about our group is here: https://sites.google.com/g.clemson.edu/ohalloran/home

Details on how to apply below.

Thanks!

Tom

This is a permanent state position at Clemson University's Baruch Institute of Coastal Ecology and Forest Science. The main responsibilities of the position are maintaining a cluster of environmental sensors deployed in coastal environments, including eddy flux systems, and performing ecological field sampling.

The Baruch Institute of Coastal Ecology and Forest Science is located just outside of historic Georgetown, SC. Under a long-term agreement with the Belle W. Baruch Foundation, the Institute is located on the 16,000-acre Hobcaw Barony at the southern end of the Waccamaw Neck and is just 35 miles south of Myrtle Beach and 60 miles north of Charleston. Hobcaw Barony is located on the Atlantic Ocean, bordered by Winyah Bay and North Inlet Estuary. The Institute is housed in a new 12,000 sq. ft. LEED-certified office building with an adjoining 7,000 sq. ft. laboratory and support facility.
