Geohydrology Internship Program (paid summer research for undergrad or grad students)

The Kansas Geological Survey's Geohydrology Internship Program is hiring 3-5 interns for summer 2022 to contribute to a variety of projects including investigating water quantity and quality in intermittent streams; using remotely sensed data and crop models to evaluating irrigation management for groundwater sustainability; and characterizing the drivers of water availability and water quality in the Kansas River corridor.

Internships are open to current students (undergrad or grad) and recent graduates and paid at $15/hr for a 12-week period. I would appreciate it if you would share this with students in your department/networks and anyone else you know who may be interested.

More info and to apply http://www.kgs.ku.edu/Hydro/gipIndex.html (review begins February 14).
Contact Sam Zipper (samzipper at ku.edu) or Erin Seybold (erinseybold at ku.edu) with any questions.

COVID notes: We are optimistic we'll be able to host interns in person, but if that is not possible, internships can be conducted remotely. However, given the difficulties of international travel this year we will only consider applicants already located and authorized to work in the US.
