We are seeking a Department Head for our Global Service and Support Department, based in Thun, Switzerland.


Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and working across all TOFWERK product lines, you will:

  *   Develop and lead TOFWERK's globally distributed technical service and support team
  *   Manage day-to-day service and support operations across multiple regions for all product lines
  *   Resolve critical customer situations and related escalations, with coordination across relevant TOFWERK teams
  *   Ensure efficient and successful repairs of products for our end-user customers and OEM partners
  *   Lead service training for OEM and distribution partners
  *   Foster positive, long-term relationships with customers and partners
  *   Develop and manage a portfolio of service products
  *   Own and develop our technical support knowledge base
  *   Support new products launches, ensuring that all support-related aspects of the new product are available for initial shipments.
  *   Represent the design for serviceability principles during development projects
  *   Provide Product Managers with customer feedback, to identify opportunities for improvement, new business and innovation
  *   Keep updated on internal product knowledge and innovation
  *   Manage spare parts and consumables inventory levels to ensure appropriate records and quantities are maintained at all times

Requirements

  *   Master's degree or equivalent
  *   5+ years of experience supporting laboratory instrumentation
  *   Strong communication skills
  *   Excellent relationship management skills at all levels
  *   Technical knowledge in one of the following fields: chemistry, physics, electronics, equipment maintenance, IT.
  *   Able to demonstrate flexibility
  *   Fluency in English
  *   Experienced in leading and managing a team
