Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.

In this role, you will work with a creative group of people who are passionate about water in Washington State. You will learn how to operate and maintain multiple databases, which are crucial to the management and the enforcement of water rights on the Columbia River. You will also become a part of a team that is crucial to the creation of new supplies of water on the Columbia River for people, farms, and fish.

What you will do:

*        Receive, organize and enter metering information into the Department of Ecology's Metering Database.

*        Follow up with water rights users with inquiries about their metering submissions, with possible enforcement actions to follow.

*        Intake water rights applications for the OCR.

*        Enter and maintain water rights file information into the Water Rights Tracking System (WRTS).

*        Issue new mitigated water rights from water sources on the Columbia River.

*        Answer water rights questions from the public, applicants, and to local governments.
