School of Energy and Environment, City University of Hong Kong





The School of Energy Environment<https://www.cityu.edu.hk/see/> was established at City University of Hong Kong<https://www.cityu.edu.hk/> in July 2009 with the mission to perform cutting-edge research and provide professional education in energy- and environment-related issues. It is the first and only such School in Hong Kong and one of the few in Asia.  The School has experienced tremendous growth over its eleven years.



We are now inviting applications for tenure-track position at all ranks in the area of Climate Science and Impacts.  Candidates with research expertise in all aspects of climate science (climate dynamics, climate diagnostics, climate modeling), climate impacts on society (atmospheric environment, biodiversity, economy and finance, energy, health, infrastructure, marine environment, water resources, etc.) or climate risk are welcome to apply.

Duties :

Teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervise research students at master and doctoral levels, conduct high-level research, develop new research directions and courses when necessary, and contribute creatively and professionally in the School, and for the benefit of the community and industry.  The appointees will also be assigned to take up administrative duties to facilitate the development of the School activities.



Requirements :

A PhD in closely-related disciplines with a strong research record in terms of grants, publications and patents, and good teaching ability.



Candidates for Associate Professor should have a number of high-impact publications and grants, and a demonstrated ability/potential to develop a research area on their own.



Candidates for Professor should have outstanding research and international reputation.
