Hello all,
A postdoctoral research fellow position on the nexus of air quality and human health is available in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Wayne State University. The prospective postdoctoral research fellow will work on a research project to quantify the impacts of regional and global anthropogenic emissions on atmospheric chemistry, air quality, climate change and human health, using state-of-the-art 3-dimensional chemical transport models, epidemiological models and biostatistics. A recent Ph.D. with background in atmospheric chemistry, environmental engineering/science, atmospheric science, chemistry, geology, public health, or other related fields are welcome to apply. The candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills, with good track record of peer-reviewed publications. Previous modeling experiences using chemical transport models (e.g., GEOS-Chem, CMAQ or WRF-Chem) and/or chemistry-climate models (e.g., CESM) are preferred. The postdoctoral research fellow will work directly with Dr. Yaoxian Huang (https://www.huanglabwayne.com). The initial duration of the appointment is one year, with second year renewable depending upon progress of performance and availability of funds. For interested applicants, please send your CV, a paragraph of research statement and contact methods of three references to Dr. Huang (yaoxian.huang at wayne.edu<mailto:yaoxian.huang at wayne.edu>) as a single PDF file, with subject title “Postdoctoral Fellow Application”.
