CEDAR email: 2025 Joint CEDAR-GEM Workshop: Registration and Key Dates

Dear CEDAR Community,

We are pleased to announce that the 2025 Joint CEDAR-GEM Workshop will be
held in Des Moines, Iowa, from June 22 to 27, 2025. Due to NSF funding
structures, there will be separate registration sites/workshop webpages for
the CEDAR and GEM communities. The CEDAR community's workshop webpage
<https://cedarscience.org/2025-joint-cedar-gem-workshop> is now open, while
the GEM community's page will be available at a later date.

The CEDAR workshop page provides essential information on:

   -

   *Registration*: Opens on January 8, 2025; early registration deadline is
   May 1, 2025.
   -

   *Workshop Proposal Submission*: Includes CEDAR Grand Challenge
   workshops/sessions, CEDAR Regular workshops/sessions, and joint CEDAR-GEM
   workshops/sessions. Submission period: January 8 to March 7, 2025. Note:
   The same workshop proposal submission form will be linked to the GEM
   workshop page for the GEM community.
   -

   *CEDAR Prize and Distinguished Lecture Nominations*: Submission period:
   January 8 to March 14, 2025. A CSSC subcommittee will provide further
   details on special considerations for nominations, especially given the
   joint nature of this workshop.
   -

   *Student Travel Support*: Application period: January 8 to March 21,
   2025.
   -

   *Poster Abstract Submission*: Submission period: January 8 to May 9,
   2025. Note: Students applying for travel support need to submit poster
   abstracts by March 21, 2025.
   -

   *Dependent Care Grant*: Application period: January 8 to May 9, 2025.
   -

   *Hotel Booking*: Booking period: January 8 to May 21–June 1, 2025,
   depending on the hotel (three hotels in total).

We will continue to provide updates and detailed information via the
workshop webpage and the CEDAR email list.
