<div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><p>Dear CEDAR Community,</p><p>We are pleased to announce that the 2025 Joint CEDAR-GEM Workshop will be held in Des Moines, Iowa, from June 22 to 27, 2025. Due to NSF funding structures, there will be separate registration sites/workshop webpages for the CEDAR and GEM communities. <a href="https://cedarscience.org/2025-joint-cedar-gem-workshop">The CEDAR community's workshop webpage</a> is now open, while the GEM community's page will be available at a later date.</p><p>The CEDAR workshop page provides essential information on:</p><ul><li><p><strong>Registration</strong>: Opens on January 8, 2025; early registration deadline is May 1, 2025.</p></li><li><p><strong>Workshop Proposal Submission</strong>: Includes CEDAR Grand Challenge workshops/sessions, CEDAR Regular workshops/sessions, and joint CEDAR-GEM workshops/sessions. Submission period: January 8 to March 7, 2025. Note: The same workshop proposal submission form will be linked to the GEM workshop page for the GEM community.</p></li><li><p><strong>CEDAR Prize and Distinguished Lecture Nominations</strong>: Submission period: January 8 to March 14, 2025. A CSSC subcommittee will provide further details on special considerations for nominations, especially given the joint nature of this workshop.</p></li><li><p><strong>Student Travel Support</strong>: Application period: January 8 to March 21, 2025.</p></li><li><p><strong>Poster Abstract Submission</strong>: Submission period: January 8 to May 9, 2025. Note: Students applying for travel support need to submit poster abstracts by March 21, 2025.</p></li><li><p><strong>Dependent Care Grant</strong>: Application period: January 8 to May 9, 2025.</p></li><li><p><strong>Hotel Booking</strong>: Booking period: January 8 to May 21–June 1, 2025, depending on the hotel (three hotels in total).</p></li></ul><p>We will continue to provide updates and detailed information via the workshop webpage and the CEDAR email list.</p><p>For more information on the 2025 joint workshop, please refer to <a href="https://us4.campaign-archive.com/?u=e1400246b33eb32b8684444d5&id=242fa96351">a previous announcement on the joint GEM-CEDAR Workshop</a>.</p><p>We look forward to seeing you in Des Moines this summer!</p><p><br></p><p>Best regards,</p><p>Liying, on behalf of the 2025 CEDAR Workshop Organizers</p></div>
