Dear colleagues,
We encourage you to consider submitting your abstract to the AGU Session SA001 (Advances in Low-Latitudes Thermosphere and Ionosphere) that focus on low-latitude ionosphere dynamics. Detail description of the session is shown below.
SA001 - Advances in Low-Latitudes Thermosphere and Ionosphere
Session ID#: 105939
Session Description: During the last half a century many important contributions have greatly advanced the knowledge of ionosphere and thermosphere dynamic and coupling processes at low-latitudes during both quiet and disturbed periods. This session welcomes observational, theoretical, and modeling studies that advance our understanding on equatorial ionospheric response to geomagnetic storms, storm-time penetration and disturbance dynamo electric fields, equatorial spread-F/plasma bubbles, scintillations and their effects on communication and navigation systems, equatorial electrojet, vertical coupling of the atmosphere and ionosphere or forcing from below (planetary waves, tides, gravity waves, etc.), storm-time variations of total electron content (TEC) and equatorial ionization anomaly, and longitudinal variations of thermospheric and ionospheric parameters. Presentations on new instruments and observational methods that enable us to better forecast the low-latitude thermospheric and ionospheric dynamics are also encouraged.
Best regards,
Endawoke, Chaosong, and Elvira
