</span></b><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#262626">During the last half a century many important contributions have greatly advanced the knowledge of ionosphere and thermosphere dynamic and coupling processes at low-latitudes
 during both quiet and disturbed periods. This session welcomes observational, theoretical, and modeling studies that advance our understanding on equatorial ionospheric response to geomagnetic storms, storm-time penetration and disturbance dynamo electric
 fields, equatorial spread-F/plasma bubbles, scintillations and their effects on communication and navigation systems, equatorial electrojet, vertical coupling of the atmosphere and ionosphere or forcing from below (planetary waves, tides, gravity waves, etc.),
 storm-time variations of total electron content (TEC) and equatorial ionization anomaly, and longitudinal variations of thermospheric and ionospheric parameters. Presentations on new instruments and observational methods that enable us to better forecast the
 low-latitude thermospheric and ionospheric dynamics are also encouraged.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
