CEDAR email: Call for ISR World Day Proposals 2019/2020

Dear Colleagues,

Proposals for the 2019/2020 Co-ordinated Incoherent Scatter Observation Days (also known as ISR World Days) are due by 13th June 2019. Written proposals, outlining specific research needs using the World Day observations, are requested.  These proposals should be submitted via e-mail to Emma Spanswick (elspansw at ucalgary.ca<mailto:elspansw at ucalgary.ca>) and Andrew Kavanagh (andkav at bas.ac.uk<mailto:andkav at bas.ac.uk>).  Please note, proposals will evaluated and  circulated to the various radar operations teams to ensure feasibility of support.

To expedite the process this year, we are attaching some notes about the proposal procedure as well as a proposal template.

The URSI Incoherent Scatter working Group (ISWG) will have its planning meeting at this year's CEDAR meeting.  The meeting is currently scheduled for Tuesday June 18th at 19:00 room TBD (after the poster session). This planning meeting is for the ISWG and UAF staffs to review all the submitted proposals and determine how the global network of ISRs can best satisfy the approved requests.  The proposer's presence during this discussion is not required but can be very beneficial.
