All-Sky Imagery Atmospheric Scientist
Computational Physics, Inc.

Computational Physics, Inc. (CPI) has an immediate opening for an All-Sky Imagery Scientist to support a ground-based all-sky atmospheric imagery project and work with scientists at the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington DC.

Roles and Responsibilities
·            Deploy ground-based all-sky atmospheric imagers in remote international locations.
·            Command and control the all-sky imager software remotely from NRL.
·            Manage the transfer of imaging data from the remote location to NRL.
·            Perform quality assessments of the imagery data.
·            Perform scientific analysis on the imagery data.
·            Work on-site at NRL. 
·            Travel at least three weeks per year to remote international locations.
 
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
·            Masters degree (or equivalent experience) in physics or related scientific field
·            Experience with Linux OS
·            Excellent verbal and written English language skills, good communica­tion skills, and ability to interact well in group meeting/work environments
·            U.S. Citizen
·            Able to obtain and retain a security clearance
 
Preferred Qualifications
·            Ph.D. in physics or related scientific field
·            Experience with ground-based all-sky atmospheric imagers and their data
·            Experience with databases and database management systems
