[ncl-talk] Display not fully functional with NCL 6.2 and Ubuntu 14.04

Hi,

This is the second instance we've heard of this issue coming from an Ubuntu
platform. We have not seen it on any of the various RHEL-derived linux
machines available to us. Unfortunately, we don't at the moment have ready
access to an Ubuntu machine to verify and investigate and it will take some
time to set up one. So I'm not sure what is peculiar about Ubuntu, and most
importantly, what to suggest to you as a fix/work-around.

Usually there is a log file written by the X11 server in
/var/log/Xorg.0.log The first 20 or so lines give information about the
version of the server, etc. Would you mind send me (offline) that bit of
preamble -- it might help track down any known issues with that server?

Wish I had a better answer...
Rick
