You might want to have a look at the CGIAR-CSI version of the SRTM 
dataset, which is available at http://srtm.csi.cgiar.org/. This is a 
reprocessed version of the original SRTM dataset, with the data voids 
that are present in the original version removed. More information on 
the actual process used to remove the data voids can be found on their 
website, along with links to download the actual data itself.
