[ncl-talk] How to mask the undesired areas on the overlaid plot?

Hi,

Its unclear what you mean by "undesired areas" and what those look like.
However, there are numerous examples of masking data at the link below.
Some techniques use simple descriptors like "oceans" or "land masses",
while others can mask arbitrary complex regions based upon a shapefile.
Perhaps check out the examples, and if not clear to you, repost your
question based around one of the examples that comes close to what you want.
