[ncl-talk] Modification of a script for 3D data to read and plot 2D data

Hello all,


We would appreciate any feedback as we are trying to plot the 2D data from the attached o3.month.nc file, originally plotted on monthly_O3_avg_2010-07.png by using the plot_avg_o3,ncl file, and plot it by using a modified version of the attached shapefiles_14_mask.ncl file. The shapefiles_14_mask.ncl file works very well for a 3D wrfout_d01_2010-07-15_20:00:00.nc file, or for any 3D wrfout file.


However we would like to modify shapefiles_14_mask.ncl so that it could actually read and process the 2D o3.month.nc file, and plot it with similar results to the attached files shapefiles_mask.000001.png and shapefiles_mask.000002.png. The area of our interest has already been specified on the attached shapefiles plot, by masking the rest of the WRF domain on them.
