I tried to send this ncl-talk.

The files output.2017... were sent as well, but rejected.

The ftp site does not let me upload them.

Hi:

I have a strange bug in my program, which may indicate a bug in NCL.

I have uploaded my wrfinput_d01 to the ftp site, and with the attached
files I assume that you will be able to reproduce the bug.

The bug comes when I include this overlay.

overlay(plot_t,plot_ov)

The earlier in time map plots contoured (and marker intensity data)
correctly.  The second one turns all green (labeled 0700 IST).

I looked at the data in each output file, and I don't see any NaNs (at
least the min is 0 and the max is a real number).

I am hoping someone might be able to figure out why my map turns green, as
this is a very useful program.

Before running it, you need to link the output.txt to one of the attached
txt files.

output.txt -> output.2017103004 <(201)%20710-3004>.txt

P.S. One more thing: if there are no contours -- just markers (e.g.,
labeled 0600 IST), then the map actually grows a bit in size, as if the
size of the map is being affected by whether or not there is contoured data.
