[ncl-talk] Fw: bug report and ask for data file

​Dear Chiangtp,

Thanks for the bug report.  I have made the fix to vpower.f, but the other
fix you suggested needs to be looked into.  I'm personally not familiar
with this code, so I made a ticket for it (NCL-2606).

As for the data files, we cannot provide the files for all of our examples,
because many of them no longer exist, or the scripts were created by people
who never gave us the files, or the files are simply too large.

It is time-consuming to try to provide all these files. Really, the idea
behind these scripts is that you plug in your own datasets and hopefully
just make a few changes to get the script to run.​

You can also visit our data page to see if there are any similar data files
you can apply:

http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Applications/Data/

For example, for the "wrfout_franco.nc"
​ ​
and "wrfout_d01_000000.nc" f
​iles, you should be able to use any standard WRF output file​.​

​There may be other people on ncl-talk that have access to some of these
files. Maybe one of them can point you to some ones that you can download.
