[ncl-talk] ADD-A-POINT

I'm trying to understand the algorithms of the AREAS package.
Can someone please explain to me the algorithm employed by the
the ADD-A-POINT function of ncarg2d/src/libncarg/areas/CodeIftran? (Used in
aredam.f and arpram.f)
Is there some better documentation on this available?
