[ncl-talk] weird markings on panel plot

Hi,

I have encountered some weird markings that look like ticks placed in the
middle and tops of my left panel plot (see attached). I have seen these
markings before, but I have no idea what they are or how to get rid of
them. Anyone seen these or have suggestions how to remove them?
