[ncl-talk] wind stress curl on irregular grid

Hello,
I found the function uv2vr_cfd to compute the relative vorticity of the wind, and i want to use it to compute the curl of the wind stress for the mediterranean sea with wind stress data provided by C-GLORS reanalysis. The problem is that data are gridded on an irregular 2D grid while uv2vr_cfd accepts only lat/lon 1D array. Is there something i can do to adapt data for the function above (excluding regridding on a regular grid)?  Where i can find the code for uv2vr_cfd to try to adapt it for my problem? Thank you
