[ncl-talk] Delta P in Italics

Hi All NCL Users

I am just struggling to get the symbol ∆P and

∆PShift

I am using the command deltaP at long_name = "~F8~D~N~P~"  for ∆P but it shows the Delta symbol but puts a Pie function in rather than just a P. Could someone please assist in this matter as I think it is easy but cannot manage to crack it.
