[ncl-talk] Day to date

This is easy to find on the NCL website.

Under the 'Functions' header on the main page, look at 'category listing':
http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Document/Functions/ and choose 'Date'.
Here, you should be able to find multiple functions that will do what you
describe.
