[ncl-talk] write_table format option & write_matrix appending

I don't know if there's an easy way to do an array of numbers.

To make the format string easier, you could do something like:

;---Create format string for a list of elements in a List variable.
format_array
= new(ListCount(alist),string)
format_array = "%16.f"
format_str   = str_join(format_array,"")

write_table("list.txt", "a", alist, format_str)
