[ncl-talk] Overlaying observations on a contour plot

Hi All
I am a fairly novice user of ncl and have managed to create colour-filled
contour plots of atmospheric concentrations of various trace gases (height
on y-axis, and time of day on x-axis). At the moment, I've just let ncl
pick the scale.
I have observations from a flux tower (i.e. at one height) for these
concentrations and would like to overlay a plot of these on the contour
plots. I'd like to draw them as circles, colour-coded to match the
colour-scale of the underlying plot.
I haven't managed to find an example of this in the documentation. Any
suggestion as to how to achieve the plot, or of where to find an e.g. would
be very gratefully received.
Cheers
Kirsti
