[ncl-talk] NCL 6.2.0 hanging on startup

Hi John,

That's certainly an odd behavior that I don't think we've seen before. A
couple of things come to mind:

- NCL 6.3.0 is the latest rev -- if possible, I'd recommend installing it
- What are your system characteristics, and what NCL binary did you install:
  i.e, what do these commands report?

    uname -a
    gcc -v

- Finally, if all else fails, you might run this command:

   strace ncl >nclStarupTrace 2>&1

  and send me the resultant file nclStarupTrace;  perhaps we can tell
where/why the hang occurs.

I wish I had a better answer...
