[ncl-install] help urgently

Sir/Madam
I am new to linux as well as ncl. I have tried to install ncl (ncl-6.4.1) following instruction given in following link:https://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Download/install.shtml
I have ubuntu 14.04 LTS (32 bit).
When I have installed ncl using "sudo" (sudo apt-get install ncl-ncarg),it has been installed but its version is 6.1.2. 
!going to root$sudo -ithen download ncl_ncarg-6.4.0.tar.gz and then untar it in "/home/user" (tar -zxf ncl_ncarg-6.4.0.tar.gz) !going to untar folder$cd ncl_ncarg-6.4.0/$./Configure -vWhen ask for parent installation directory, I put "/usr/bin/ncarg"When ask for local library search path, I put "/usr/lib"when ask for local include search path, I put "/usr/include"then setting environment:"setenv NCARG_ROOT /usr/bin/ncarg"
Then it shows:
"Save current configuration ? (y) 
Enter Return(default), y(yes), or q(quit) > y

Building Top-level Makefile with current configuration options


    You have completed the configuration process. Once you exit this
    program you may initiate the installation procedure by typing:

        make Everything >& make-output &

    You can watch the output with:

        tail -f make-output

    If this is not your first installation attempt, and you simply 
    made some changes in the configuration, restart the process using:

        make All >>& make-output &
    
    This command does not erase object code that has already
    been compiled.

    Both of these commands run the installation procedure
    in the background, and you can track its progress
    by periodically examining the file "make-output" while 
    the installation proceeds."
after that it shows finished installation and make everything.
Then i open a .bash_aliases file where i addexport NCARG_ROOT=/usr/local/ncl-6.4.0
export PATH=$NCARG_ROOT/bin:$PATH
Still it is not working. Please help me. I need to install ncl urgnetly.
