I have tried to install ncl (ncl-6.4.1) following instruction given in following link:</div><div><a href="https://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Download/install.shtml" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">https://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Download/install.shtml</a></div><div><br></div><div>I have ubuntu 14.04 LTS (32 bit).</div><div><br></div><div>When I have installed ncl using "sudo" (sudo apt-get install ncl-ncarg),it has been installed but its version is 6.1.2. </div><div><br></div><div>!going to root</div><div><b>$sudo -i</b></div><div>then download ncl_ncarg-6.4.0.tar.gz and then untar it in "/home/user" (tar -zxf ncl_ncarg-6.4.0.tar.gz)</div><div> !going to untar folder</div><div><b>$cd ncl_ncarg-6.4.0/</b></div><div><b>$./Configure -v</b></div><div><b>When ask for parent installation directory, I put "/usr/bin/ncarg"</b></div><div><b>When ask for local library search path, I put "/usr/lib"</b></div><div><b>when ask for local include search path, I put "/usr/include"</b></div><div><b>then setting environment:</b></div><div><b>"setenv NCARG_ROOT /usr/bin/ncarg"</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>Then it shows:</b></div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>"<i>Save current configuration ? (y) <br>Enter Return(default), y(yes), or q(quit) > y<br><br>Building Top-level Makefile with current configuration options<br><br><br> You have completed the configuration process.
