[ncl-install] Fwd: error with NCL installation and command run

Dear Dipak,

If you have version 5.1.1 of NCL, then hopefully you shouldn't need  
to compile the wrf_user_fortran_util_0.f file any more, because these  
functions are now built into NCL.

The problem you are having with NCL may not be a problem with this  
WRF file, though. It looks like maybe the PWR6 binary doesn't work on  
your system.

I have a "generic" version of NCL that runs on other PWR/AIX systems,  
and this has been known to work for people that the PWR6 binary  
doesn't work for.

To get the file:

ftp ftp.ucar.edu
<login as "anonymous">
<use your email address as the password>
cd pub/scd/haley
get ncl_ncarg-5.1.1.AIX_5.3_com_64.tar.gz
quit

Once you have the file, the installation instructions are exactly the  
same as they were before:
