Moti,

Did you try the ncl version built against 4.1.1?  Looking at
the Centos binaries (don't have redhat 4), they use
Gcc 3.3 (not 4.3) and gfortran-4.1.2.

As long as you didn't install your own GCC, you should
be able to use the binary built against 4.1.1.
