Initial Request

Dear Mr. or Mrs.,
It seems now for my point2stat results, the forecast and observation for
tmp are using different units.
The "FCST_UNITS" is "K" while BOS_UNITS is "NA" (in red color in the
attached example)
I also attached the first line and second line in the following.
Did I miss something in the configuration?
Your help is appreciated.
Regards,
Ting

Subject: the different units for forecast and observed TMP
From: David Fillmore
Time: Fri Dec 20 09:44:04 2019
Hi Ting -
MET reads the forecast and obs units from the respective forecast and
obs files,
so an 'NA' means the units were not found in the obs files.
It is not related to any config options.
Do you know what those units are?
thanks,
David

Subject: the different units for forecast and observed TMP
From: Ting Lei - NOAA Affiliate
Time: Fri Dec 20 09:52:02 2019
Hi, David,
Got it. I will double check the Unit in the prepbufr files.
However, it seems the numerical results are reasonable. So, I guess
the
observation is also in K. Or , at least, it was handled correctly by
MET
(by default, Met assumes the same unit ? ).
Thank you!
To me, this ticket can be closed.
