[Met_help] [rt.rap.ucar.edu #86978] History for MET on Cheyenne

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am Lintao, a visitor at RAL. I want to use MET on cheyenne based on
instructions here (
https://dtcenter.org/met/users/support/online_tutorial/METv6.1/tutorial.php?name=tutorial_setup&category=existing_met_builds).
However, the directory has been changed, and either 7.1_beta4 or 7.0 can be
loaded any more.

May I ask where is the MET executables are located on Cheyenne, and which
version shall I load please?

Lintao,

I see you're having trouble running MET on cheyenne.  Please use the
official met-7.0 release rather than a beta release of the next
version.

I just logged on to cheyenne, and met-7.0 appears to be working fine,
following instructions from:

https://dtcenter.org/met/users/downloads/existing_met_builds/METv7.0_existing_met_builds.php

module use /glade/p/ral/jntp/MET/MET_releases/modulefiles
module load met/7.0

Running the 'which' command on one of the MET executables reveals
where it
is installed:
> which grid_stat
/glade/p/ral/jntp/MET/MET_releases/7.0/bin/grid_stat

It looks like we did recompile this version of met-7.0 4 days ago on
9/10
to apply the latest set of patches.

Please let us know if you continue having trouble running met-7.0.
