Hi,
During the recently concluded MET training, MET was installed on my Mac. And the installation seems to be complete as

 *** Finished Testing the Model Evaluation Tools Project *** was displayed after checking the make_test.log file.
Following the online tutorial beginning from https://dtcenter.org/met/users/support/online_tutorial/METv8.0/tutorial.php?name=pcp_combine&category=index <https://dtcenter.org/met/users/support/online_tutorial/METv8.0/tutorial.php?name=pcp_combine&category=index> I went ahead to try the PCP combine functionality but my computer says “command not found”.

Am I missing something? Please help.

Hi.  Bamidele.

Thank you for coming to the MET Tutorial. I was nice to meet you.

It is likely that you have not added the met-8.0 bin to your path, so
the
computer is unable to locate where the pcp_combine command is found.

Can you please find the path where you installed MET and try running
the
command with the full path to MET? For example, if the bin directory
for
MET is installed at /d1/bamidele/met/8.0/, try running
/d1/bamidele/met/8.0/bin/pcp_combine.

If you do not see the pcp_combine executable in the bin directory,
that
would indicate there was a problem with the installation and testing
of the
MET tools, and we will dig a little deeper.

If the pcp_combine executable is in the bin directory, you should
simply
need to add the full path to the bin directory to your PATH
environment
variable.

For example, for csh shell:

setenv PATH /d1/bamidele/met/8.0/bin:${PATH}

For example, for bash shell:

export PATH=/d1/bamidele/met/8.0/bin:${PATH}

You can do this in each shell you open, or you can modify your .cshrc
or
.bashrc file, respectively, so that future shells will have knowledge
of
the location of these tools. Please let us know how it goes!

Thanks!

Julie
