  Initial Request
----------------------------------------------------------------

To whom it may concerned,
Recently, I want to compare the precipitation forecast effect between WRF and GFS by employing MET, but I don't know how to set the Configure file about the name and level, because the precipitation data in GFS is precipitation rate. Is there any tools or necessary to convert this kind of data to unit MM? I am not sure if GFS precipitation rate can be used directly in MET and how to implement it if it can be used directly.
thank you.
I am looking forward to your news.
Sincerely
Yu

Hello,
I have found the name APCP, which is acc6hr precipitation, in gfs
grib2 file and set name to APCP, but I don't know how to assign value
about level in configure file. I have tried many times about the key
string, but all tests failed. Could you tell me how to set these kind
of string? thank you.
I set it like this below at present,

   field = [

      {

        name       = "APCP";

        level      = [ "*,*" ];

        cat_thresh = [ >=0.1, >=1.5, >=2.5, >=3.8, >=5.0, >=7.5,
>=10.0, >=20.0, >=40.0 ];

      }

   ];

Hope to get your help about the issue.

Sincerely

Yu
