Hi

I knew that we have the MET in the Cheyenne. But how to use it after I
loaded by these command:

   - module use /glade/p/ral/jnt/MET/MET_releases/cheyenne/modulefiles
   - module load met

Like the example in online-tutorial about PCP-combine:

View the usage statement for PCP-Combine by simply typing the following:

   *bin/pcp_combine*

Use the *-sum*, *-add*, or *-subtract* command line option to indicate the
operation to be performed. Each operation has its own set of required
arguments.
where do I type the bin/pcp_combine command? I'm just a beginner for this
tool.

Thanks!

Haochen,

I see that you're trying to run MET on cheyenne. When you load the
MET
module, the path to the MET executables are automatically added to
your
path. So you don't need to type "bin/pcp_combine". Instead, you just
type
"pcp_combine".

The online tutorial was originally written with the expectation that
people
would be compiling MET themselves and running from the top-level
source
code directory. When using pre-compiled versions that assumption no
longer
holds. We'll be updating the online tutorial for met-6.1 to make sure
it
runs smoothly regardless of *how* you're running MET.

But this should be pretty easy... just omit the "bin/" prefix from all
the
tutorial instructions for met-6.0.

Thanks,
John Halley Gotway

Thanks! That's really helpful.
I did tried to compile the MET myself last week, when it comes to
"make",
it gave me a error.
